APPLY TO THE PROGRAM
Admission to the program is based on Total Points Earned. Points will be used to rank students for
admissions. The following items will be utilized to calculate points:

Co
unty of residence (Franklin, Granville, Vance, or Warren) - 10 points.
Working SMART Certificate of Completion - 5 points.
Approved additional healthcare certification (NA II, Med. Aide, Geriatric Nurse Aide, Home Care
Nurse Aide); must have current registry listing - 5 points.
Grades for following courses
A=10 points, B=5 points, C=3 points

o PSY-241
o BIO-168*
o BIO-169*
o BIO-271*
o Humanities (HUM-115**, ART-111, ART-114, ART-115, MUS-110, MUS-112,
PHI-215, or PHI-240)
*BIO courses required for the program must be completed within 10 ye
ars of the program

gram applications will be completed by appointment only between January 19, 2021 – March 31,
2021. Appointments can be made at https://calendly.com/waddlet
. All required documentation must be
submitted at the time of the program application appointment. All forms are available on our website at
https://www.vgcc.edu/program/adn/. Applying does not guarantee admission. Students will be notified
of acceptance or selection as an alternate beginning in May. A new program application must be
completed each
