7. Submit an ocial letter from the chief executive ocer/president which reects that he or she has secured initial
and continued nancial support for the program; N.J.A.C. 13:37-1.2.
8. Provide the philosophy, organizing framework, objectives and outcomes of the program in accordance with
N.J.A.C. 13:37-1.5:
(a) The faculty shall develop, and revise as necessary, a statement of philosophy/mission, and student learning
outcomes, and program outcomes which are consistent with the denition of nursing as set forth at N.J.S.A.
45:11-23(b).
(b) The nursing program shall incorporate competencies required for the successful entry of the nursing graduate
into practice.

(c) The faculty shall develop and maintain the written Systematic Plan for Program Evaluation.
(d) The faculty shall be able to show that the philosophy/mission, student learning outcomes, and program
outcomes have been integrated into the total program of learning.
(e) The philosophy/mission, student learning outcomes, and program outcomes shall be communicated to
students, cooperating aliates, advisory committees, and communities of interest as outlined in the plan
required pursuant to N.J.A.C. 13:37-1.2(f)11.
(f) Faculty shall have input in determining whether the nursing program needs admission requirements in
addition to those required by the institution and shall have input in developing those additional requirements.
(g) Grading or educational requirement policies shall either be congruent with institutional policies and mission
or, if not congruent, be justied by the nursing program.
(h) The faculty, in collaboration with the program administrator, shall construct, implement, teach and evaluate
the curriculum. The administrator shall maintain records that indicate the curriculum has been evaluated
pursuant to the Systematic Plan for Program Evaluation.
(i) Nursing programs shall inform students in writing if any grading or educational requirements are changed
while students are enrolled in the nursing program.
14. Submit evidence of nancial resources adequate for the planning, implementation and continuation of the
program including a projected ve-year budget; N.J.A.C. 13:37-1.2
15. Submit an organizational table describing the lines of authority and the administrative structure of the program;

16. Submit curricula vitae of all faculty and consultants responsible for the development and administration of the
program; N.J.A.C. 13:37-1.2
*After application is reviewed, the Board shall either grant permission to pursue development
of the program, require revision or deny permission to establish the new program (N.J.A.C. 13:37-1.2)
A notication letter will be sent with the status of Phase 1 application.
