 Official transcripts from ALL colleges or universities you have attended,

including community colleges, workshop credits, college credit earned in

high school, etc., even if it is not relevant to the program to which you are

now applying.**

 For permanent residents, we will also require a notarized copy of your

permanent resident card.

 Any departmental requirements in addition to those listed above. It is the

applicant’s responsibility to ensure all requirements are submitted in a

timely manner.

International Students

Application Deadlines*: Fall – April 1; Spring – August 1

 Graduate School Application form

 $65.00 Application fee (non-refundable), payable to WSU Graduate School

 Official or attested transcripts from ALL colleges or universities you have

attended. If your degree award is not posted on the transcript, then we will

also require an official or attested degree certificate.**

 Official, acceptable scores on the TOEFL or IELTS. For most programs, the

minimum TOEFL is 79 (iBT) and the minimum IELTS is a 6.5 overall band

score. Some programs require higher scores.

 Official Certification of Financial Support statement, with proper signatures

and bank statement as described on the form.

 Any departmental requirements in addition to those listed above. It is the

applicant’s responsibility to ensure all requirements are submitted in a

timely manner.

NON-DEGREE APPLICANTS

(Not open for applicants requiring F-1 Visa)

 Graduate School Application form

 $50.00 Application fee (non-refundable), payable to WSU Graduate School

 Official transcripts reflecting the award of a Master’s degree or higher. If no

graduate degree has been awarded, then we will require official transcripts

from ALL colleges or universities you have attended, including community

colleges, workshop credits, college credit earned in high school, etc., even if

it is not relevant to the program to which you are now applying.**

 For permanent residents, we will also require a notarized copy of your

permanent resident card.

 Any departmental requirements in addition to those listed above. It is the

Category B

 Graduate School Application form

 $50.00 Application fee (non-refundable), payable to WSU Graduate School

 Official transcripts reflecting the award of a Bachelor’s degree OR a copy of

your current Kansas Teaching Certificate.**

Guest Admission

 Graduate School Application form

 $50.00 Application fee (non-refundable), payable to WSU Graduate School

 A signed letter from your home graduate school certifying your standing in a

graduate program at that institution.

This status is valid for ONE semester only. If additional semesters of enrollment are

needed, application should be made for either Non-Degree Category A or Category B.

*Note about Deadlines

Some programs have earlier deadlines. All materials for both the program and the

Graduate School must be submitted by whichever deadline is earlier. Refer to the

Graduate School website for program deadline information.

**Note about WSU transcripts

You do NOT need to order transcripts of work completed at Wichita State University,

or work already transferred to WSU and posted as a part of your WSU record. Our

staff will access that information when you apply and print our own transcripts.
