residences, and businesses to vote on
proposed street name change. (60 days)
City Council and City Staff to determine grace
period (typically 6 months) during which old
sign stays in place WITH new sign.

for name change. if so, staff prepares final staff report
and resolution and presents to City Council. (90 days)
Certified copy of the Resolution is recorded
with County. (28 days)
County changes assessor’s map with new
street name. (45 days)
City staff mails final notifications with the approved
Resolution to Fire, Planning, Building, County
Recorder, Public and Private Utilities, residences,
businesses, property owners, and the US Post Office
and indicates when the old sign will be removed.
City staff notifies applicant of status and
directs City staff to install new street sign
above old sign. (45 days)
