Alumni Award Nomination Form
All nominees must be a former student, not necessarily a graduate, who has demonstrated recognizable
accomplishments in his/her profession, business, avocation, or life service in such a way as to bring pride
and honor to the University. All awards are approved by the OBU Alumni Association Board of Directors
upon recommendation by the board’s executive committee. Documentation of the nominee’s contribution
need only be presented by a letter of nomination. However, supplementary documentation is encouraged,
and may contribute to the success of the nomination. All awards are presented at Harvest Dinner during
the annual Homecoming weekend.
Which of the following descriptions fits your nominee?
Profile In Excellence Award (PIE)
A former student, not necessarily a graduate, who has demonstrated recognizable accomplishments in his/her profession,
business, avocation, or life service in such a way as to bring pride and honor to the University.
Graduate Of the Last Decade (GOLD)
The recipient must be a former student within the last decade. It is not mandatory that the award be made each year.
However, the maximum number of awards presented in any one year will be three. Recipients are required to be present at
Homecoming to receive the award.
Alumni Achievement Award (AAA)
This is the highest honor bestowed by the OBU Alumni Association. Up to three are presented annually. Recipients are
required to be present at Homecoming to receive the award.
