Purpose: It is the intention of this Administrative Master Syllabus to provide a general description of the course, outline the
required elements of the course and to lay the foundation for course assessment for the improvement of student learning, as
specified by the faculty of Wharton County Junior College, regardless of who teaches the course, the timeframe by which it
is instructed, or the instructional method by which the course is delivered. It is not intended to restrict the manner by which

Air Conditioning, Heating, Refrigeration, and Electrical - Lab
Testing will be provided in a wide variety of styles. Objective questions may be multiple choice, matching, fill in
the blank, short statement, or True/False. The weight, scale, and nature of the specific questions are left to the
discretion of each instructor.
Grading: Final grades are based on 4 categories (end of semester final, classroom work, labs and attendance)
A. 30% End of semester final (50% Written Test; 50 % Lab Test)
B. 20% Classroom work (40% Are From End Of Chapter Questions; 60% Are From End Of Chapter Tests)
C. 30% Labs (completed daily projects)
Lab grades are based on performance
A. Lab completed on time with no faults score 100
B. Lab completed with extra time score 90
C. Lab completed with extra time and one repairable fault (no parts) score 85
D. Lab completed with extra time and replacement of one part score 80
E. Lab completed next day with no faults score 75
F. Lab completed next day with faults but repairable score 70
G. Lab not completed score 0
D. 20% Attendance (A daily grade of 100 for daily attendance; A daily grade of 0 for students being absent
100 to 90 = A ;
89 to 80 = B ;
79 to 70 = C ;
69 to 60 = D ;
