4. Infectious diseases
5. Developmental disorders
6. Genetics
7. Neoplasia
8. Non-neoplastic diseases of bone
9. Oral Manifestations of systematic diseases
10. Diseases affecting the temporomandibular joint
Learning Outcomes – Upon successful completion of this course, students will:
1. Differentiate between normal and abnormal conditions of the human body with emphasis on the oral cavity
2. Identify the major principles of disease prevention
Methods of Assessment:
1. Written examination utilizing photographic and radiographic examples.
2. Written examinations and classroom discussion of pathology cause and effect and methods of treatment and
prevention.

100 – 93 = A
