Course Learning Outcomes:
Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, students will:
Be able to perform a history and comprehensive physical exam on various patient populations; establish and/or
maintain a patient airway, and demonstrate
oxygenation and ventilation of a patient; differentiate respiratory distress, failure and arrest; interpret results of
monitoring devices.
Methods of Assessment:
Computer Based Exams, critical skills development, scenario assessments, assessment graphs, patient care
assessments, oral interviews, critical thinking skills, various hands on skills evaluations and decision making
exercises.
