D) Step-by-step instruction to still life, landscape, abstract, figure painting.
Course Learning Outcomes:
Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, students will:
1.Generate words that demonstrate descriptive, expressive, and conceptual approaches.
2. Apply the elements of art and principles of design.
3. Use varied materials and techniques with informed aesthetic strategies.
4. Analyze and critique works verbally and/or in writing.
5. relate painting to art history and contemporary artistic production.
6. Demonstrate an appropriate level of professional practice, including safety, craft, and presentation.

No text. Oil or acrylic paints,: Titanium White (large tube), Cadmium Red Medium, Alizarin Crimson Permanent or Rose
Madder, Venetian Red, Indigo, Ultramarine Blue, Cobalt Blue, Cerulean Blue, Cadmium Yellow, Yellow Ochre, Cadmium
Yellow Light, Raw Umber, Viridian. If using oil paint: Turpentine (large), Linseed Oil, Damar Varnish. Brushes: Flat Bristle
#12, #8, #4. Stretched Canvas, Rags, Palette (wood or enamel), Palette Knife (3 inches), Sketchbook.
