3. Discuss the role of DNS with Active Directory
4. Discuss domain and forest functional levels

7. Discuss replication
8. Discuss Global Catalog and FSMO roles
9. Discuss OU design strategies
10. Manage users and groups in Active Directory
11. Managing computer accounts
12. Define group policy
13. Define and implement procedures used for Active Directory backup and restore.
14. Implement guidelines and procedures for monitoring Active Directory.

Course Learning Outcomes:
Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, students will:
Identify, install, configure, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot a network operating system
Describe the logical and physical structure of directory services; configure the Domain Name System (DNS)
server service to support directory services; create and administer user accounts and group resources; delegate
and administer control of directory objects; and maintain and restore the directory database.

Course Requirements/Grading System: Describe any course specific requirements such as research papers or

100 -90 = A
89 80 = B
79 70 = C
