North Essex Local Plan - Section 1: Additional
Sustainability Appraisal (SA). Method Scoping Statement.
Consultation Response Form
The North Essex Authorities (NEAs) are carrying out additional Sustainability Appraisal (SA) work
in support of the Section 1 Local Plan. Independent consultants, LUC, are undertaking the work
on behalf of the NEAs. The NEAs are consulting Natural England, Historic England, the
Environment Agency and all Section 1 Local Plan hearing session participants on the scope of
the SA.
The consultation’s purpose is to seek views on the proposed approach of the Additional
Sustainability Appraisal. Further public consultation (open to all stakeholders) on the completed
SA will take place in conjunction with consultation on the wider evidence base later in 2019.
The scope of the Additional SA is outlined in the North Essex Local Plan Section 1 Additional
Sustainability Appraisal Method Scoping Statement (December 2018).
