Education requirements are required for the Associate Degree. A grade of AC@ or better is required in requirements #1,2,3,4, and 7, below.
IP TASSOCIATE DEGREE REQUIREMENTS (17 - 20 units minimum required)
1. WRITING: ENGL: 25, 53, 1A/1AH, ESL 67, OR AT 31
(“C” grade or better) Course also meets D1
2. READING:
ENGL 26, 1A/1AH, OR ESL 68
(“C” grade or better)
3. SPEECH: 1, 2, 4, 8, OR 25
(“C” grade or better)
4. MATH 1, DS 17, AT 130, DRAFT 60 or any advanced math course (“C” grade or better) Course also meets D2
5. CHDEV 38/PSY 38, HLTH 1, PSY 2/2H (7/7H), PSY 33 or 63
6. PE: 2 courses (waived for Veterans, P.O.S.T. Basic Academy, Reserve Module AD@, or Basic Fire Academy Graduates)

Computer Familiarity (New FCC students entering Summer 1996 and later). Successfully complete one of the following (“C”
grade or better):
(A) A course designated by the student=s major: *HIST 21 (*History major only); MUS 1A & 1B, OR MUS 2A & 2B, OR
MUS 5, OR MUS 8, OR MUS 9 (Music majors only); RCARE 22 & 23 (Respiratory Care majors only); (B) one course from AT
10; BT 2, 3, 7, 14, 18, 23, 26 or 28; GRC 5, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 20, 22, 23, 30 or 41; IS 12, 14, 15, 18, or 26; (C)
OR pass the Computer Familiarity Examination.
