JUNE 25 - Deadline date for applications to be received.
We do not build a wait-list for this event.
Jurying of applications and Notice of Acceptance or rejection will be
done on an ongoing basis through July 6.

Artists shall provide their own 10’ x 10’ tents, tables, chairs, etc. and
be prepared for all types of weather. Event is outdoor and held rain or
shine. All spaces are on grass located adjacent to a paved walkway. In
some cases, the artist may park one vehicle behind their booth space.
Complete the application and include two checks (jury fee, booth
fee) for EACH category payable to Town of Ocean City”. Include
with your application an
ARTIST STATEMENT
describing the
technique, intent and additional creative information that
exemplifies your background, technique and final work.
ARTIST SELECTION
Application and images are scored by a
panel of jurors. Acceptance is based on
artistic merit as determined by jurors.
Award winners from previous year are
given pre-juried status for the following year
in the same medium category as prize won.

2020 FINE ARTISAN
APPLICATION
PAINTING - Original two-dimensional work created in oils, acrylics or
watercolors. No portion may be photomechanically or digitally produced
or reproduced.
PHOTOGRAPHY - Prints of photographs made from the artists original
negative. Exact reproductions where content/presentation are identical
(95% or more) are limited to 25% of display.
SCULPTURE - Non-functional or kinetic, three-dimensional work in any
medium.
DRAWING - Work created using media such as chalk, charcoal, pastels,
pencil, crayon or from fluid media such as ink applied by pen or brush.
No portion may be photomechanically or digitally reproduced.
CERAMICS - Functional clay works. This category excludes clay jewelry
and clay sculpture. The artist must sign all pieces.
GLASS - Any work created from glass including formed, blown, painted
and cut. Pieces must be signed by the artist.
GRAPHICS - Printed works for which the artist crafts the original art,
plates, stones, blocks or screens and pulls the prints. The limited-edition
results of such endeavors must be signed by the artist and documented
as to the number of pieces in the edition and where each pieces falls in
the sequence of the edition. No portion shall be photomechanically or
digitally reproduced to same presentation.
MIXED MEDIA- Includes non-sculptural work incorporating more than
one type of physical material processes in its production (for example:
an etching which is then painted, collage of handmade paper and
photography).
FIBER - Any work created from fibers including leather work, basketry,
papermaking, weaving, etc. No machine tooling, machine screening or
any form of mass production is permitted.
FURNITURE - Functional tables chairs, screens, decks, beds, etc.
crafted from any material made to be artistic and original.
JEWELRY - Personal adornment (excluding garments) made from any
material. Loose stones may not be sold. No commercial casts or molds
are permitted.
FINE WOOD - Works crafted from wood, excluding furniture and
sculpture that are hand-tooled, machine worked, machine turned or
machine carved.

Artisan application. Provide a brief description of each
image for the selected media categories from the left.

read description carefully prior to submitting application
and supporting documents.
By signing application, Artist acknowledges having read
this 2020 ArtX application and agrees to abide by the
requirements, rules and regulations set forth by Event
Management. Artist acknowledges that images submitted
for jurying are representative of work to be exhibited and
that Management reserves the right at its sole-discretion
to deny Artist of any work that does not meet the
standards and such work will be immediately removed
upon request. If accepted, Management reserves the
right to use images and photographs taken at event for
promotional purposes without notice to Artist. Your
signature indicates that you have read the application
instructions and agree to abide by all terms as related to
your requested participation in ArtX.
