ARTICULATIONAGREEMENT
BETWEEN
UNIVERSITYOFWISCONSIN‐STOUT
AND
WISCONSININDIANHEADTECHNICALCOLLEGE
This Agreement is entered into between Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College
(hereinafter sending institution), and the University of Wisconsin‐Stout, Menomonie, WI
(hereinafter receiving institution).This Agreement and any amendments and supplements
shallbeinterpreted pursuant to theguidelines set forth in the University of Wisconsin System
Administrative Policy 140, Guidelines for Articulation Agreements between UW System
Institutions and WTCS Districts as well as Administrative Policy 135 Undergradu ate Transfer
Policy.Both institutions agree to maintain accreditation by the Higher Learning Commission
andanyotheraccreditationcurrentlyinexistencepertainingtodegreeprogramsarticulatedvia
thetransferagreement.
The sending institution has established an A.A.S. Information Technology – Systems
Administration Specialist (hereinafter sending program), and the receiving institution has
established a B.S. Computer Networking and Information Technology (hereinafter receiving
program), and will facilitate credit transfer and provide a smooth transition from one related
programtoanother.Itismutuallyagreed:
I. AdmissionandGraduationRequirements
A. Thereceivinginstitution’sadmissionandprogramadmissionrequirementsapplyto
bothdirectentrystudentsandtostudentswhotransferunderthisagreement.
B. Studentsmustfulfillthegraduationrequirementsatbothinstitutionstoinclude:
1. GeneralEducation,Racial&EthnicStudiesandGlobalPerspective
requirements;
2. Aminimumof32creditsmustbeearnedfromUW‐Stouttoreceiveadegree
fromUW‐Stout.
C. Studentsmustcompletetheentiresendingprogramandmeetthereceiving
institution’sadmissionrequirementsfortheagreementtoapply.
II. TransferofCredits
A. Thereceivinginstitutionwillapply44ofthe63creditsfromthesendingprogram.A
totalof76creditsremaintocompletethereceivingprogram.
B. CourseswilltransferasdescribedintheattachedProgramArticulationTable.
C. CoursesarespecificallyidentifiedintheattachedProgramArticulationTable
requiringgradesof“C”orhigherthatmaybeusedtowardsthedegreeprogram.
Gradesreceivedlessthana“C”mustberepeatedifstudentisadmittedintothe
programbasedonoveralladmissionrequirements.

D. Electivecoursestakenorsubstitutedatthesendinginstitutionandsendingprogram
notlistedinthisagreementwillbereviewedonacase‐by‐casebasisanddetermined
howtheymayapplytothedegreeatthereceivinginstitution.
III. ImplementationandReview
A. TheProvost,Dean,ProgramDirectorordesigneesofthepartiestothisagreement
willimplementthetermsofthisagreement,includingidentifyingandincorporating
anychangesintosubsequentagreements,assuringcompliancewithsystempolicy,
procedureandguidelines,andconductingaperiodicreviewofthisagreement.
B. TheUniversityofWisconsin‐StoutandWisconsinIndianheadTechnicalCollegewill
provideacademicadvisingtoWisconsinIndianheadTechnicalCollegelearners
inquiringaboutUW‐Stout’sprograms.LearnerswillbeconnectedwithaUW‐Stout
adviserpriortotransfer.UW‐StoutandWisconsinIndianheadTechnicalCollege
willsharematerials,catalogs,andotherinformationtofacilitatetheirunderstanding
ofrequirementsandprograms.WisconsinIndianheadTechnicalCollegewillassist
UW‐Stoutinarrangingrecruitmenteventsonitscampuses.
C. Anymarketingofthisagreementwillbesubjecttothepriorapprovalofbothparties
andwilladheretoeachinstitution’sstandardsfortheuseofitsnameandlogo.Each
institutionwillassumeresponsibilityforappropriatemarketingtoreachitsstudent
population.Eachinstitutionmayprovidealinktothisagreementand/ortheother
institutiononitswebsite,withnoticetotheotherparty.
D. Bothpartiesagreethatfailuretomaintain regionalaccreditationwillbegroundsfor
terminationoftheagreement.Failuretomaintainaccreditationrequiredbythe
specificacademicprogram(s)referencedinthisagreementwillbegroundsfor
exclusionofthatprogramfromtheagreement.
E. ThisArticulationAgreementiseffectiveon05/01/2020andshallremainineffect
untiltheenddateof05/01/2025orforfiveyears,whicheveroccursfirst,unless
terminatedoramendedbyeitherpartywith90dayspriorwrittennotice.
F. Thecollegeanduniversityshallworkwithstudentstoresolvethetransferofcourses
shouldchangestoeitherprogramoccurwhiletheagreementisineffect.
G. ThisArticulationAgreementwillbereviewedbybothpartiesnolaterthan
12/01/2024(withinsixmonthsoftheenddate)butwillalsobeconsideredona
yearlybasisuponupdatestotheundergraduatecatalogatUW‐Stout.Both
WisconsinIndianheadTechnicalCollegeandUW‐Stoutagreetonotifyeachotherof
anycurricularchangesinatimelymanner.
H. Whenastudentenrollsatthereceivinginstitutionfollowingthisagreement,the
receivinginstitutionwillencodeanycoursewaiversandsubstitutions.
I. ThisarticulationagreementappliesonlytothereceivingprogramineffectFall2020
untilrevised.

