ARTICULATIONAGREEMENT
BETWEEN
UNIVERSITYOFWISCONSINSTOUT
AND
WISCONSININDIANHEADTECHNICALCOLLEGE
This Agreement is entered into between Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College
(hereinafter sending institution), and the University of WisconsinStout, Menomonie, WI
(hereinafter receiving institution).This Agreement and any amendments and supplements
shallbeinterpreted pursuant to theguidelines set forth in the University of Wisconsin System
Administrative Policy 140, Guidelines for Articulation Agreements between UW System
Institutions and WTCS Districts as well as Administrative Policy 135 Undergradu ate Transfer
Policy.Both institutions agree to maintain accreditation by the Higher Learning Commission
andanyotheraccreditationcurrentlyinexistencepertainingtodegreeprogramsarticulatedvia
thetransferagreement.
The sending institution has established an A.A.S. Information Technology
Cybersecurity Specialist (formerly Network Specialist and hereinafter sending program), and
the receiving institution has established a B.S. Computer Netw orking and Information
Technology (hereinafter receiving program), and will facilitate credit transfer and provide a
smoothtransitionfromonerelatedprogramtoanother.Itismutuallyagreed:
I. AdmissionandGraduationRequirements
A. Thereceivinginstitution’sadmissionandprogramadmissionrequirementsapplyto
bothdirectentrystudentsandtostudentswhotransferunderthisagreement.
B. Studentsmustfulfillthegraduationrequirementsatbothinstitutionstoinclude:
1. GeneralEducation,Racial&EthnicStudiesandGlobalPerspective
requirements.
2. Aminimumof32creditsmustbeearnedfromUWStouttoreceiveadegree
fromUWStout.
C. Studentsmustcompletetheentiresendingprogramandmeetthereceiving
institution’sadmissionrequirementsfortheagreementtoapply.
II. TransferofCredits
A. Thereceivinginstitutionwillapply44ofthe63creditsfromthesendingprogram.A
totalof76creditsremaintocompletethereceivingprogram.
B. CourseswilltransferasdescribedintheattachedProgramArticulationTable.
C. CoursesarespecificallyidentifiedintheattachedProgramArticulationTable
requiringgradesof“C”orhigherthatmaybeusedtowardsthedegreeprogram.
Gradesreceivedlessthana“C”mustberepeatedifstudentisadmittedintothe
programbasedonoveralladmissionrequirements.

D. Electivecoursestakenorsubstitutedatthesendinginstitutionandsendingprogram
notlistedinthisagreementwillbereviewedonacasebycasebasisanddetermined
howtheymayapplytothedegreeatthereceivinginstitution.
III. ImplementationandReview
A. TheProvost,Dean,ProgramDirectorordesigneesofthepartiestothisagreement
willimplementthetermsofthisagreement,includingidentifyingandincorporating
anychangesintosubsequentagreements,assuringcompliancewithsystempolicy,
procedureandguidelines,andconductingaperiodicreviewofthisagreement.
B. TheUniversityofWisconsinStoutandWisconsinIndianheadTechnicalCollegewill
provideacademicadvisingtoWisconsinIndianheadTechnicalCollegelearners
inquiringaboutUWStout’sprograms.LearnerswillbeconnectedwithaUWStout
adviserpriortotransfer.UWStoutandWisconsinIndianheadTechnicalCollege
willsharematerials,catalogs,andotherinformationtofacilitatetheirunderstanding
ofrequirementsandprograms.WisconsinIndianheadTechnicalCollegewillassist
UWStoutinarrangingrecruitmenteventsonitscampuses.
C. Anymarketingofthisagreementwillbesubjecttothepriorapprovalofbothparties
andwilladheretoeachinstitution’sstandardsfortheuseofitsnameandlogo.Each
institutionwillassumeresponsibilityforappropriatemarketingtoreachitsstudent
population.Eachinstitutionmayprovidealinktothisagreementand/ortheother
institutiononitswebsite,withnoticetotheotherparty.
D. Bothpartiesagreethatfailuretomaintainregionalaccreditationwillbegroundsfor
terminationoftheagreement.Failuretomaintainaccreditationrequiredbythe
specificacademicprogram(s)referencedinthisagreementwillbegroundsfor
exclusionofthatprogramfromtheagreement.
E. ThisArticulationAgreementiseffectiveon05/01/2020andshallremainineffect
untiltheenddateof05/01/2025orforfiveyears,whicheveroccursfirst,unless
terminatedoramendedbyeitherpartywith90dayspriorwrittennotice.
F. Thecollegeanduniversityshallworkwithstudentstoresolvethetransferofcourses
shouldchangestoeitherprogramoccurwhiletheagreementisineffect.
G. ThisArticulationAgreementwillbereviewedbybothpartiesnolaterthan
12/01/2024(withinsixmonthsoftheenddate)butwillalsobeconsideredona
yearlybasisuponupdatestotheundergraduatecatalogatUWStout.Both
WisconsinIndianheadTechnicalCollegeandUWStoutagreetonotifyeachotherof
anycurricularchangesinatimelymanner.
H. Whenastudentenrollsatthereceivinginstitutionfollowingthisagreement,the
receivinginstitutionwillencodeanycoursewaiversandsubstitutions.
I. ThisarticulationagreementappliesonlytothereceivingprogramineffectFall2020
untilrevised.

