Equivalent to 2 years of high school study in the same language (“C” or better)
2 years of schooling at the sixth grade level or higher in an institution where the language of
instruction is NOT English
Certificate of Achievement in CSU GE-B or IGETC – An award presented to
students for completion of either the California State University General
Education-Breadth requirements (CSU GE-B) or the Intersegmental General
Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC).
General Education Certification (GE Certification)
– This certification process
guarantees that a student has met certain general education requirements by
completing specific coursework. Without a Certification, transfer students may
not be granted proper credit for the courses completed. "Certification" refers to
official notification from a California Community College that a transfer
student has completed courses fulfilling CSU or UC lower division general
education requirements. Students may choose the IGETC or the CSU GE-B
pattern. The UC System accepts IGETC, while the CSU System accepts either
IGETC or CSU GE-B.
COUNSELOR VERIFICATION (OPTIONAL)
Student has completed all IGETC and major requirements.
