EDUCATIONAL BENEFITS

course or withdraw entirely from Lamar State College -Port Arthur, it is my
responsibility to immediately notify the Veterans' Representative on this campus. I also
understand that every course I enroll in per semester at Lamar State College -Port
Arthur must be on my current active degree plan.
Satisfactory Academic Progress
Effective June 2014, the Texas Veterans Commission requires a student who is receiving
Hazlewood Legacy Educational Benefits must meet the school's Satisfactory Academic
Progress Policy. A student using their Hazlewood Legacy benefits at Lamar State
College -Port Arthur must maintain a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average of a
2.00 and have a 70% Cumulative Completion Rate of hours attempted to be considered
making Satisfactory Academic Progress. A student will not be eligible to use their
Hazlewood Legacy benefits if they do not meet these requirements.
