Pastora San Juan-Cafferty
SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
This scholarship was established by the friends and family of Pastora San Juan-Cafferty
in order to remember a dear person dedicated to the betterment of people. The intent of
this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to students pursing a dream in higher
education. Pastora was a professor emerita at the University of Chicago. Currently,
one scholarship will be awarded towards the academic pathway of a higher-education
student.
Scholarship Criteria:
1. Meet the non-traditional criteria per LCCC Financial-Aid Office guidelines.
2. Must be a full-time student currently enrolled in spring semester.
3. Must have a 2.5 GPA and attach unofficial transcripts from most recent
institution of study.
4. Must attach a short one-page essay explaining educational goals, life
experience and why the student needs the scholarship and is the ideal
recipient.
Application Process:
1. Complete the scholarship application and submit to the Scholarship and
Financial Aid Office with a copy of most recent unofficial transcripts.
2. Complete any necessary and related LCCC Scholarship and Financial Aid
criteria.
