(15) Grading Scale & Policies:
Exams:
One final will be given during scheduled finals week. Exam will be closed note and be an individual
assessment of knowledge. The exam will be a mixture of multiple choice, true/false, fill in the blank
questions, and short answer questions. The final will be worth 150 points.
Tests:
Announced quizzes will occur throughout the course.
Activities & Project:
Students will be provided more information as the assignment’s approach.
Participation:
Participation are crucial to this class. Contributing to class discussions, activities, and attendance to field
trips will be assessed throughout the semester. Total participation points will equal 50 points towards
your final grade.
Makeup Work & Late Assignments:
Tests missed for a school activity or documented illness can be made up within a reasonable time after
missing the work. If there are extenuating circumstances, please let the instructor know.
Extra Credit:
There will be multiple extra credit opportunities throughout this course, please take advantage of them.
They will be all throughout the semester so please consider them from the beginning of the class, not
just at the end when you are worried about a grade.
