2021 Property Tax Exemption Extenuating Circumstances
The March 1st exemption application deadline has passed.
To file an application for the current year, this statement of extenuating circumstances form
must be completed, otherwise your 2021 exemption application will be denied.
PLEASE APPLY FOR THE EXEMPTION ONLINE AT WWW.PCPAO.ORG OR IN PERSON AT ONE OF OUR
OFFICES AND ALSO PROVIDE THIS FORM WITH ALL REQUIRED SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION.
THE DEADLINE TO SUBMIT INFORMATION FOR CONSIDERATION
IN THE CURRENT TAX YEAR IS SEPTEMBER 17, 2021.

The Property Appraiser’s office will review your extenuating circumstances. Your exemption status will be
reflected on our website
at www.pcpao.org, and on the Notice of Proposed Property Taxes (TRIM Notice) you
receive in mid-August.
If your exemption is denied after the Extenuating Circumstances form has been reviewed, you can appeal by
filing a petition with the Value Adjustment Board (VAB) before 5:00 PM on September 17, 2021.
