The Federal Work-study (FWS) Program provides on-campus and off-campus employment
opportunities for eligible students. The rate of pay is the federal minimum wage or higher. Students are
generally limited to working 10- 15 hours per week.
You have indicated a desire to participate in the FWS program. You must meet the following criteria:
Complete the 2021-2022 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine
eligibility. Students must have financial need as determined by the FAFSA.
Must submit all required financial aid forms.
Must be enrolled in an eligible program of study.
Must be enrolled at least half-time (6 credit hours).
Meet the Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Guidelines for federal student aid. Students
whose financial aid has been canceled are not eligible to participate in FWS.
Must accept FWS in Banner self-service.
Must work to earn this award.
Please keep in mind that completing this form does not guarantee you a work-study position.
Funding is limited and students are awarded on a “first come, first serve” basis. If hired, you will be
required to complete the necessary Human Resources paperwork and training.
