Notes:
• Effective Spring 2021 transfer Fresno State will no longer accept the Business AS-T and guarantee 60
units’ upper division for students with Business AS-T. In order to transfer to Fresno State and
transfer as an upper division transfer the following courses should be selected when completing the
Business Adm. AS-T:
• CSU Fresno prefers both BA 39 and MATH 11 or STAT 7 as well as IS 15 to be completed as
part of this degree.
• Students who do not have a background in accounting are strongly advised to take ACCTG 40,
Applied Accounting, prior to ACCTG 4A, Principles of Accounting.
Program Learning Outcome:
1. Define Business, list the five functions of business, and describe each function.
2. Utilize effective oral communication skills in a variety of situations (including one-on-one and
group
presentations) and using a variety of formats.
3. Write effective business letters, me
mos, research papers, and other documents.
4. Conduct research using a variety of resources including published documents and web based resources.
5. Effectively and efficiently, use technology (commonly used computers and software) as it relates to the world
of bus
iness.
6. Discuss the basic accounting concepts and financial statements used regularly in business.
7. List and describe the major forces influencing human behavior in the workplace.
To obtain the Business Administration Associate in Science Degree for Transfer, students
must complete the following requirements:
1. Completion of 60 semester units or 90 quarter units that are eligible for transfer to the California State
University, including both of the following:
a. The Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (IG
ETC) or the California State University
General Education – Breadth requirements.
b. A minimum of 18 semester units or 27 quarter units in a major or area of emphasis, as determined by
the commu
nity college district.
2. Obtainment of a minimum grade point average
of 2.0. Associate Degrees for Transfer (ADTs) also require that
students must earn a “C” grade or better in all courses required for the major or area of emphasis.
