2020 Southwest Washington Regional Juried Exhibition
The Southwest Washington Juried Exhibition is organized by The Leonor R. Fuller Gallery at the Kenneth J Minnaert Center
for the Arts on the campus of South Puget Sound Community College. Artists working in all media and residing in Clark,
Cowlitz, Grays Harbor, Lewis, Mason, Pacific, Pierce, Skamania, Thurston, or Wahkiakum counties are invited to submit an
entry for consideration.
PRIZES
> Merit Awards - $100/each.
> Purchase Awards.
> Award winning artists invited back for the Juror’s Invitational Exhibition in 2021.
> Viewer’s Choice - Winning artwork will be used for publicity the following season.
SUBMISSION RULES:
> Artists must live in Clark, Cowlitz, Grays Harbor, Lewis, Mason, Pacific, Pierce, Skamania, Thurston, or Wahkiakum
counties.
> Artists must be 18 years of age or older to submit.
> Entry fee is $25 per artist.
> Artists have the option of selling their artwork. The Gallery retains a 25% commission on all sales.
Include the following in one PDF document:
> Completed entry form below.
> Images of up to 3 artworks with no more than 3 additional detail images if desired.
> Artwork must have been created within the last 3 years, must not exceed 72” in the longest dimension, and must
weigh less than 150lbs.
IMPORTANT DATES
May 8:
Entries due.
May 28: Notification of accepted artwork.
June 22, 23:
Delivery of accepted artwork to The Gallery between 12 – 6 p.m.
July 6:
Exhibition opens.
July 9:
Opening reception, awards presentation, and artist talks.
August 21:
Exhibition closes.
August 24 - August 26:
Pick up of artwork between 12 – 6 p.m.
Guest Juror: June Sekiguchi
June Sekiguchi is an artist and curator for Era Living properties. She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Studio
Art from the University of California at Santa Barbara and has resided in the Seattle/Tacoma area since 1994.
She has been involved in art education, served on the Issaquah Arts Commission, is a founding member of
artEAST Art Center, METHOD Gallery, and is currently an independent art curator. Sekiguchi has received an
Artist Trust Fellowship, GAP grant, and five 4Culture grants. She has been awarded artist-in-residencies locally
and internationally. Sekiguchi has served as a juror on many panels including Artist Trust, 4Culture, the City of
Seattle, and numerous arts members’ organizations. Sekiguchi’s works are in private and public collections
including Seattle Portable Works, and internationally in Laos, Morocco, and exhibited in Sweden. She recently
created installations for the San Juan Island Museum of Art, the Wing Luke Asian Museum, and is currently
working on a public art piece in Seattle. She is represented by ArtXchange Gallery in Seattle.
