2020-2021 Non Filer Form
Your application was selected for review in a process called “Verification.” In this process, the Financial
Aid Office will be comparing information from your FAFSA application with your 2018 W-2 forms and
any other requested financial documents. The law says the Financial Aid Office has the right to ask you
for this information before awarding Federal aid. If there are differences between your application
information and your financial information, the Financial Aid Office may need to make corrections
electronically to your FAFSA application.
Verification of Non filing – Individuals are still required to obtain verification of non-filing (VNF) from the
IRS or other tax authorities. However, if the individual is unable to obtain VNF from the IRS or other tax
authorities and, based upon the institution’s determination, it has no reason to question the student’s
or family’s good-faith effort to obtain the required documentation the institution may accept—
