The Bright Futures scholarship program provides an appeal process for students who do not meet the renewal
requirements. Appeals may be filed when a student does not meet minimum grade point average and/or credit hours

control. The appeal must include a statement of the circumstances of the illness or emergency and its impact on the
student’s performance along with documentation of the circumstances.
