1) Conduct Board discussion at public meetings so that all trustees have an
opportunity to participate in the decision-making.
2) Receive adequate information on which to base decisions.
3) Conduct meetings in an orderly, efficient manner and encourages public
comment.
4) Gather information independently, as they deem necessary, without making
unilateral decisions or micro-managing.
5) Treat one another with respect and civility, in public and closed sessions.
6) Participate regularly in seminars, conferences and retreats.
7) Recognize and support the Foundation goals of both colleges.

defined, implemented and published in its policies.
15) Have a code of ethics that includes a clearly defined policy for dealing with
behavior that violates its code.
16) Have a mechanism for providing for continuity of Board membership and
staggered terms of office.
