This career certificate is designed to provide students with technical understanding of
computer technology, networking and security, as well as the communication skills
and professionalism required of all entry-level IT professionals. Skills included
software and hardware installation, network configuration and diagnosing, and
preventive maintenance and security fundamentals. This certificate program is more
of a “hands-on” orientation focused on scenarios in which troubleshooting and tools
must be applied to resolve problems. It also prepares students to take professional
CompTIA A+, Linux+, Network+, and Security+ certificates.
This certificate is a career program and may not readily transfer to four year colleges/universities (except in special cases.)
