E: NOMINATION FOR APPOINTMENT TO ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP ON THE GRADUATE FACULTY
The purpose of this memorandum is to nominate for appointment
to Associate Membership on the Graduate Faculty on the basis of the following Graduate School Policy: Any full-time member of
the faculty who is not eligible for full membership may be nominated for appointment as an Associate Member on the basis of
at least an earned doctorate or equivalent terminal degree and demonstrated specific competence to carry out the
departmental special needs for graduate teaching, advisement, or research. This appointment is for a three-year period and may
be renewed, or a review for full membership may be requested at such time.
