Tribal Families Registered in Builder Buddies

Policy: Tribal Families registered in Builder Buddies will adhere to the Builder Buddies policy as outlined.
Tribal Families Registered in Builder Buddies: The Builder Buddies Program is a 9 month program that
occurs throughout the school year and it is designed for male parents/caregivers and his child(ren) who
are in grades K-8

, but if the male parent/caregiver can’t make the monthly meet ups, a female
parent/caregiver can take the place of that individual.
We understand that parents have other children who may want to participate. We love and value all
children, so we welcome younger and older children too. All child(ren) that attend Builder Buddies must
be supervised by their parent/caregiver. If other children do attend, they will have to share the STEM kit
with their sibling who is in the grades K-8
th
grade.
For the well-being of other children and adults, please do not attend if you or your child is sick. Symptoms
must have cleared for a minimum of 24 hours to be able to attend.
Builder Buddies is nut-free. Please do not bring nut products into the facility. Further, we ask all parents
and caregivers to be mindful of all other allergies, and to be accommodating if another parent/caregiver
expresses that their child has an allergy.
Builder Buddies is also strictly a non-smoking and drug/alcohol free environment.
Builder Buddies occasionally uses photographs and/or video of patrons in the NVE web and social media
sites without further consideration or notification. By participating in the Builder Buddies, you grant
permission to use still photographs or video images of you, your child, or your caregiver. You acknowledge
Builder Buddies right to crop or treat the personal images at its discretion. You understand that once a
personal image is posted on the Internet, the image can be downloaded.
Purpose: The purpose of Builder Buddies is to have Male Caregivers/role models and their children bond
through STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) based learning.
