TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
This employment acknowledgement is entered into by Central Carolina Technical College, an agency and instrumentality of the State of South Carolina,

Weekend Sub Staff
This employment acknowledgement is for instruction, education and/or other services rendered by the temporary employee. The beginning and
ending dates of this acknowledgement may fluctuate because of Act of God, war, weather, natural disaster, fire, other catastrophe, or change in
student enrollment. In the event of any of the above or interruption of the educational program for any reason beyond the control of the College, the
beginning and ending dates may be changed accordingly, and the temporary employee is obligated to provide the required number of hours, days,
and/or weeks envisioned by this acknowledgement unless otherwise excused by the proper authority. As this acknowledgement applies to temporary
employees, either faculty or staff, engaged in instructional services, or other services, such employees must make themselves available to students
for academic assistance, or to their supervisors. The times set forth for availability must be communicated to students.
The total numbers of hours are for instruction, educational and/or other services as delineated below:

The total salary for rendering the above services should not exceed the total amount above. Payroll will process on a monthly basis, on the 15
th
of
each month for hours worked the month prior. If payday falls on a weekend or public holiday, deposits will occur the business day prior. Hours must
be submitted to supervisor for approval by the appropriate deadline. If hours are received after deadline, pay may be delayed until the next payroll.
If the hours/contract amount exceeds the total acknowledgement amount, then an approval for payment must be sent to the Human Resource Office
by the Dean/Director or Institutional Officer or his/her designee. The temporary employee will only be paid for time actually worked.
PURSUANT TO SECTION 41-1-110 OF THE CODE OF LAWS OF SC, AS AMENDED, THE LANGUAGE USED IN THIS DOCUMENT
DOES NOT CREATE AN EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT OR ALTER THE AT-WILL RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE EMPLOYEE
AND CENTRAL CAROLINA TECHNICAL COLLEGE.
SC Department of Administration policy states that no employee of any state agency or institution shall be paid any compensation or travel expenses
from any other state agency or institution except with the approval of the agency or institution which he/she is regularly employed and Central
Carolina Technical College. Acceptance of the acknowledgement constitutes representation by the temporary employee that he/she is not an
employee of any state agency or institution unless he/she has submitted a Request for Approval of Dual Employment and has received approval prior
to entering into any acknowledgement for personal services for compensation.
The temporary employee understands and acknowledges that he/she may not be entitled to fringe benefits and will not be paid leave time; however,
in the event the temporary employee participates in the South Carolina Retirement System, the College must report this information to the System
and must withhold contributions based on the employee’s gross earnings. Eligibility for group health insurance will be determined by the Human
Resource Office.
The temporary employee must return the State application, direct deposit form, and the remaining New-Hire Package, executed in full, to the Division
Dean/Department Chair/Supervisor who must forward to Human Resources no later than 5 working days prior to the first work day. Employment
shall not begin until a completed package is received in its entirety.
The College maintains ownership, broadcast rights, property rights, and copyrights for all materials developed within the scope of employment
and/or with College resources.
The College reserves the right to generate a background check on the temporary employee. Conviction of a criminal offense is not a bar to
employment in all cases. Each conviction will be evaluated individually.
The temporary employee does not have rights under the grievance and appeal procedure.
